Services

  Custom Hole Cutting & Splitting

Hole Cutting: Most Medallions come with a 3-3/4" hole for access to the ceiling electrical receptacle.  The canopy of the medallion DOES NOT GO THROUGH THE HOLE, and sits on the surface of the medallion. For certain circumstances we can increase a hole size or cut a hole in a Rosette.

Splitting:  We offer the service of splitting a medallion so that one can lower the canopy of the existing chandelier and slide the two split medallion pieces under the canopy without taking down the chandelier. Remember that when splitting, one looses the thickness of the blade so a perfect circle is no longer. Use our approved adhesive and polyspackling compound as a filler.

Fire Rating for all our products

Fire Rating

For Residential uses, Class A fire rating is not normally required however you must check with your local building codes.

For Commercial buildings all products used in construction must be Class A Fire Rated.  These structures include hospitality, medical, retail stores, and  Religious buildings. Fire Rating is achieved by the material being Class A Fire rated such as GRG-NeoPlasterTM.  In the case of ArchPolymerTM specify fire retardant incorporated in the chemical mix.

Fire Rated primer can be applied the surface of any material to achieve Class A. This involves a coating specialist for inspections.
